The year 2009 in the fag end has snatched the most popular actor Dr Vishnuvardhan. The end of icon of Kannada cinema Dr Vishnuvardhan was very serious blow. Dr Vishnuvardhan the much loved human being the pillar of Kannada cinema like Dr Rajakumar died just two days before the commencement of 2010. On December 30 early morning Dr Vishnu died of heart attack in Mysore.

Three other noted veterans R Lakshman, Chandulal Jain and Dr C.Ashwath were among the top personalities who left us in the year 2009. Lakshman was the pillar of Karnataka Film Chamber. Chandulal Jain was an achiever and Dr.C.Ashwath who died on his birthday December 29 was the pillar of Sugama Sangeetha besides being a singer composer of film music.

Others who died in the last year are Kishore Sarja, Bharat Bagavathar, Sacha producer Madesh, Raju Ananthaswamy, Maina Chandru, RN Mandre and Circus Boranna.
